
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player, is a striker for San Diego Wave FC (NWSL), which is the highest division of women's soccer in the United States. She also co-captained the United States women's soccer team from 2018 to 2020 with Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd. [8][9The 9 Morgan was selected number one in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she completed her degree early at the University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. Morgan made her debut as a professional at the club and was instrumental in helping the team win the league championship. Morgan 22, then 22 years young, was the youngest national player at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 in which she finished second. Morgan scored the match-winning goal in the semi-final match against Canada in the semi-final match during the 2012 London Olympics. She finished 2012 with 21 goals and 28 assists and Mia Hamm was the only American woman who scored both 20 and 20 goals. It made her the 6th-youngest U.S. player ever to achieve 20 goals in one season. After being named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year Morgan was also named a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan was also instrumental in helping the United States win their titles at the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women's World Cups, in which she was selected to the Dream Team for both tournaments as well as winning the Silver Boot in 2019.
